Richard 'Ricky' Armendariz: The Gods Wait to Delight in You...C.B.
February 8 - April 19, 2024 New York City Ruiz-Healy Art is pleased to present Richard 'Ricky' Armendariz: The Gods Wait to Delight in You…C.B., a solo exhibition of works by Texas-based artist Richard ‘Ricky’ Armendariz at our New York City gallery. This is Armendariz’s fourth solo exhibition with the gallery and his first solo exhibition at a gallery in New York City. The exhibit will open on Thursday, February 8th, with an opening reception with the artist from 6:00-8:00 PM; it will be on view through March 29th, 2024. The exhibit features new woodblock prints along with unique oil on carved Baltic birch reliefs that illustrate traditional printmaking techniques and non-traditional carving techniques. The result displays the intricate mark-making process and allows multiple colors to shine through in the crevices of the carved wood. Read more -

This collection evolved from a year-long exploration of San Antonio's nature trails, where Perez engaged with individuals entering and exiting these curated natural spaces. Jennifer Ling Datchuk and Tammie Rubin: Press Hold On The Hand
November 29, 2023 - January 6, 2024 San Antonio Ruiz-Healy Art is delighted to showcase the two-person exhibition Press Hold On The Hand, featuring the works of artists Jennifer Ling Datchuk and Tammie Rubin. The exhibition opens on Wednesday, November 29th, with a reception from 6:00-8:00 PM. Datchuk and Rubin share a language and depth of materials rooted in domesticity, migrations, and hope. Press Hold On The Hand looks at our collective and cumulative grief, personally and globally, and asks viewers to pause, reflect, and take stock of the signs and affirmations that keep us moving forward. Datchuk presents a series of sculptures using materials such as porcelain, wire, and human hair that decorate the walls with their ornamentation. Using intricate motifs, Rubin’s work delves into themes involving ritual, domestic, and liturgical objects. May 18 - September 10, 2022 San Antonio Ruiz-Healy Art is pleased to announce Gaby Collins Fernandez & Carlos Rosales-Silva: Applied Pressure. Applied Pressure is a two-person solo exhibition featuring artists Gaby Collins-Fernandez and Carlos Rosales-Silva. The artists intersect in their experimental uses of color and texture to create abstract works that manipulate images. Collins-Fernandez presents a series of paintings and works on paper using materials such as crayon, digital photo collage, and fabric. Rosales-Silva’s works are grounded in a practice of painting but often borrow from sculptural and installation practices through materials like sand, crushed stone, and glass beads. Read more -

May 11 - July 8, 2022 New York City Ruiz-Healy Art is pleased to announce Alejandro Diaz: Words for White Walls. This is the artist’s second solo exhibition with the gallery. Grounded in his Mexican American heritage and South Texas aesthetics, Diaz presents a recent series of text-based paintings and prints as well as found object sculptures from the late 2000’s. Diaz will also showcase a series of cardboard signs, which he began making and selling on the streets of Manhattan in the late 1990s. Read more

March 3 - April 29, 2022 New York City Ruiz-Healy Art is pleased to present Cecilia Biagini: Detour. This is Biagini's fourth show with the gallery and her first solo show at Ruiz-Healy Art in New York. Cecilia Biagini: Detour presents a selection of different modes of Biagini's approach to abstraction such as mobile works and wood sculptures that relate to her first installation Montaña, 1998 at Centro Cultural Recoleta, Buenos Aires, to her ongoing series of intersecting organic forms painted in bright colors, a series she started developing in 2017.
