The Mexican kinetic art movement has scarcely been studied, although strongly popular in the local art scene particularly in the 1960's and 1970's. Curated by Daniel Garza Usabiaga, the exhibition rescues Mexican kinetic-based artwork (Op Art, Illusionism, optical Cubism and Surrealism) through critical texts and a precise selection that account for the development and extent of this experimental image art movement in Mexico during the 20th century. Includes works by Pedro Friedeberg, Xavier Esqueda, Mathias Goeritz, Hersúa, collective ZERO (Otto Piene, Günther Uecker and Heinz Mack), David Alfaro Siqueiros, Gunther Gerzso, Lorraine Pinto, Enrique Bostelmann, Alejandro Jodorowsky, and many more.
